Gardening Tips To Save Your Money
Posted July 28, 2011 – 12:53 am in: Gardening TipsHome gardening is a wonderful pastime that the whole family can enjoy. In addition, gardening has become an increasingly popular hobby for people of all ages. Currently, studies show that in the United States, eight of ten households take part in some type of home gardening endeavor. Based on these statistics, gardening is one of the most popular outdoor recreational activities in the nation.
While gardening is a wonderful hobby, it is easy to spend a fortune every year creating a beautiful yard. These five tips can help save you money in both this, and future gardening seasons.
Tip #1. Plan your vegetable garden according to what your neighbors are planting so you can share your vegetables when they’re ready for eating. Often I’ve had too many of one kind of vegetable I couldn’t give away because my friend’s were ripe at the same time.
Tip #2. Select perennials rather than annuals for your flowerbeds. As they multiply each year, cut them back and exchange with your friends so you both have lovely gardens and save money at the same time.
Tip #3. Compost your kitchen scraps, as well as your coffee grounds. The end result is much better than any potting soil you can ever get buy from a nursery or hardware store. The price is right, and this is definitely recycling!
Tip #4. Try pebbles or small rocks in your garden as ground cover, instead of using mulch,. This will save you lots of cash since you won’t need to buy mulch in the spring and fall of every year.
Tip #5. Spend more money now by purchasing better quality gardening tools and you will save in the long run. They will last for years, saving you dollars because you don’t need to replace them every planting season. Same goes for gardening glovesmake sure you buy the best you can afford so they last all season.

Posted April 29, 2011 – 3:57 am in: Staying HealthyWe all need some help now and then in getting to sleep. Rather than just popping a pill which can be habit forming and lead to more sleep problems in the long term, try these sleeping tips. These will surely help.
Tip #1: Have a hot bath. Not hot enough to make you uncomfortable though. The heat of the water relaxes the muscles and also causes the core body temperature to drop afterwards which sends a sleep signal to the brain. This is great for children too. It only works for baths though, not showers!
Tip #2: Get more light during the day. This sounds strange, but it is vital for good sleep at night. Our brains are hard wired to go to sleep when it’s dark and wake when it is light. Not getting enough light during the day will deprogram our biological clock. Once our circadian rhythm has been upset, our brain won’t receive the sleep signal when we’re ready to go to sleep.
Tip #3: Don’t lie in bed and worry about not sleeping. This will only cause stress and make sleep even harder to achieve. If you find yourself becoming concerned about not sleeping, get up and make yourself a drink or find something to read. Stay up until you feel sleepy again and only then go back to bed.
Tip #4: Go to bed at the same time every night and get up at the same time every morning. This reinforces the natural biological rhythm and helps your brain send a sleep signal. It also reinforces a habit. Habits are an important part of better sleep. Obviously you won’t be able to do this every single night, but if you manage most nights, this will still work well.
Tip #5: Don’t go to bed until you are tired. This sound like a direct contradiction of the previous tip! The logic behind this is that is you are not sleepy you will lie in bed awake and will start worrying about not being able to go to sleep. The most important part of all this is to get up at the same time every morning no matter what time you went to bed the night before. Eventually you will feel very sleepy at your normal bedtime. Getting up in the morning when you are still tired is not easy to do but it will help in the longer term. Stick with it!
Tip #6: Exercise more during the day. Exercise relaxes the body and mind as well as being good for your health and helping with weight loss. Even walking just 30 minutes a day will help. If walking is not your thing, try Yoga or Qigong. Both are soothing and will relax you totally. If there are no classes near you, videos or CDs are easily available.
Tip #7: Practice muscle relaxation. You can do this during the day or after going to bed. Practice tensing and relaxing each muscle group in turn, starting at the top of the head and gradually working down to the toes. This relaxes the body and also distracts you from any worrying thoughts while you are performing it.
Tip #8: Write down worries before going to bed. There is always something to worry about, isn’t there? These are the things that can keep you awake when your mind won’t let go. Solution? Think of all the problems that are currently in your life and write them down. Have a worry time before going to bed. Make a decision to do something about them the following day.

Posted March 5, 2011 – 12:39 pm in: Hobbies That Pay, Home Based BusinessMany of us dream of being our own independent bosses by going into business for ourselves. And most of us would jump at the chance to do what we enjoy, as a vocation. Realizing that kind of dream may be easier than it sounds, and people do it all the time by doing to a business that keeps them involved in the hobby or pastime they are most passionate about in life.
If you think this is a path you want to take, make an inventory list of your favorite hobbies and areas of interest. You may have a talent that can be sold as a service, or you may have a hobby that will allow you to turn it into a business supplying products to others who share the same hobby.
For example, if you are a mountain biking enthusiast, you may notice the need for a book bike shop in your town. You could open one and put your interest in biking to good use, providing a valuable service to others who needs accessories, bikes, and bike repairs.
Sometimes artists open art supply stores, or musicians open music shops where they also charge a fee for teaching people how to play instruments. Do you enjoy gardening? You may be a perfect candidate for starting a landscaping business.
The sky’s the limit, and if you have a hobby that you convert into a job, chances are you will enjoy a high rate of worker satisfaction. That’s a huge perk for any kind of job.
Nowadays, it is good to learn how to make money online with your hobbies. With the internet at your disposal, the possibilities are endless. Are you skilled at scrapbooking or interior decorating? Why not write a book about it and sell it as en e-book? There is really no sense in being passionate about something and NOT making money from it.

Posted February 18, 2011 – 4:38 am in: We All Love PetsMost individuals have an idea just what type of pet they want; however, the maintenance of a pet can cause some concern. Knowing how to choose the correct pet for you may be easy. You may have had several pets as a child and know you need a companion for your own home or you may have always wanted a pet but been told you could not have one. Whatever the case you may need to take into consideration some key points to pet care when deciding what pet is right for you.
Key Point #1: Some pets take more care than others. Dogs are very needy animals. They are very sensitive towards their owners. I am sure most of you have heard of dogs tearing up a house when left along all day. Dogs can get bored even when they have other dog companions and toys. They need the human interaction. Most dog owners take their dogs out for a walk before work and after work for the exercise and play time. Other owners who work outside will often let their dogs come to work with them to keep them out of trouble. Cats on the other hand can amuse themselves and as long as you put your valuables on a shelf, they cannot reach and keep a clean house they will sleep, look out windows, and play with toys while you are away. Fish are another type of pet that is typically low maintenance except for cleaning the fish tank.
Key Point #2: Pets need attention from their owners, positive reinforcement, training, and love. Fish are usually excluded from this statement, as they just need food, proper tank maintenance, and a few plants to sustain life, however the point is proper pet care is required when you own any pet. The decision will be yours to make in choosing what the right pet is for you.
Key Pont #3: Dog vs. Cat. While dogs are high maintenance and require the most training they are also one of the best pets to own. They can alert you to danger, alert you to someone at the door, and give unconditional love back. A dog only asks in return for proper care and a great deal of attention. Cats on the other hand can be high or low maintenance depending on breed as well as personality. Some cats require hours of people attention while others shirk attention. Some cats belong to a one pet household. They do not like to share their owner’s affections and will become upset if not mean towards the infiltrator. Others need the playmate’s attention to live happily.
Pet care is the most important factor when you are deciding which pet is right for you and your home. You will want to consider all the pet care needs of the animals you are looking at as well as the breed you are looking at to determine if they will have a happy place in your home.

Posted February 4, 2011 – 2:30 am in: Gamer's LoungeIf you love video games and play often, then you probably should know that lots of gamers are now getting paid to do just that. Because of the huge growth the gaming industry has gone through, they need lots of game testers to help fine tune their product. If you are really good at video games, then you may have what it takes to join the ranks of professional game testers.
Becoming a game tester is probably a little more than you would expect. There are three things you must consider before pursuing a game tester job.
Consideration #1: A sincere love of playing video games. I mean you love to play all the time and almost never get tired of playing. if you could be fed through a tube you would play forever. If you’re a casual player then this might not be for you.
Consideration #2: You are really good. You have to also be really good at video games. These companies do not have a lot of time waiting for you to learn the game. If you don’t have skills, how can you test a new game for release?
Consideration #3: Must be 16 Years of Age. Legally you need to be 15 or 16, depending on the child labor laws in your state. Typically you also need to be a high school graduate, so that pushes the age up to 17 or 18 in most cases.
If you meet these three considerations, then you have the foundation to be a game tester. The next step is creating a gamer profile and getting it out to the appropriate companies for review.
You can do this yourself, or you can sign up with one of the game tester clubs that are legitimate and they will help do most of the ground work for you.

Posted January 14, 2011 – 4:32 am in: Find Your JobIt is a mistake to think of your resume as a history of your past, as a personal statement or as some sort of self expression. Sure, most of the content of any resume is focused on your job history. But write from the intention to create interest, to persuade the employer to call you. If you write with that goal, your final product will be very different than if you write to inform or catalog your job history.
Most people write a resume because everyone knows that you have to have one to get a job. They write their resume grudgingly, to fulfill this obligation. But, if you realize that a great resume can be your ticket to getting exactly the job you want, you may be able to muster some genuine enthusiasm for creating a real masterpiece, rather than the feeble products most people turn out.
The good news is that, with a little extra effort, you can create a resume that makes you really stand out as a superior candidate for a job you are seeking. Not one resume in a hundred follows the principles that stir the interest of prospective employers. So, even if you face fierce competition, with a well written resume you should be invited to interview more often than many people more qualified than you!
Five resume tips that you need to consider are as follows.
Tip #1: Your resume is about your future, not your past.
Tip #2: It is not a confessional. In other words, you don’t have to tell all. Stick to what’s relevant and marketable.
Tip #3: Don’t write a list of job descriptions. Write achievements.
Tip #4: Promote only skills you enjoy using. Never write about things you don’t want to repeat.
Tip #5: Be honest. You can be creative, but don’t lie.

Posted January 1, 2011 – 4:44 pm in: Staying HealthyHappy New Year! For weeks magazines and newspapers have been printing recipes and alluring photographs of rich, mouth-watering goodies such as cookies, candies, dips, and calorie-laden drinks.
Then, in the same issue, they offer guidance on how not to eat all this stuff. Pace yourself, they advise. Limit yourself to one tidbit every half-hour. Eat a salad before going to a cocktail party, so that you won’t be tempted by all the snacks…
Nutrition experts tell us that on average, people gain 5-7 lb. during the holiday season. It’s hard to resist all the treats, especially when we’re faced with them in ads and displays, as well as on counter tops at home, at work and when visiting. Our inner brat nags at us, whining that we really do “need” that extra helping of pie. Or it rationalizes that a couple of cookies don’t add up to much, and that we can exercise a little more later.
Controlling your eating is difficult at this time of year. To “just say no” is a good strategy for occasional temptations, but it doesn’t work when you’re bombarded with images, aromas and offerings of one treat after another. Self-control is mentally draining. When you repeatedly say “no” to treats, you gradually deplete your mental energy. That’s why most people fall off their diets later in the day, when their strength to resist is at a low point.
A better solution: not confronting the yes/no question in the first place. The secret is to limit your exposure to temptation. Here are five useful tips:
Tip #1: Store treats in the back of a cupboard or fridge. Wrap them in opaque paper or plastic, so that you don’t easily notice them.
Tip #2: Avoid reading recipes for calorie-laden foods. When you see photos of cakes and other desserts in magazines, turn the page quickly. Less exposure is less temptation.
Tip #3: If you go to business-related holiday cocktail parties, resolve to visit the buffet table only once. If possible, stay no more than half an hour.
Tip #4: Spend some time outside every day. Nature helps clear your head, so that your cravings are less noticeable.
Tip #5: Get more sleep. Not only will you get the usual benefits of being more alert and less irritable, but research shows that people who sleep more have a better balance of the hormones that regulate hunger – and they weigh LESS than those who don’t get enough sleep!

Posted December 22, 2010 – 4:55 am in: Dating Made EasyYou are dating a beautiful but a shy girl or one that is not a talkie. You have already talked about your hobbies, your families and your jobs and nothing else come into your mind and she is not really helping you (that’s what you believe).
One of the best ways of having a good, healthy and wholesome chat with your girlfriend is to start with small talk. The small talk will give you a general picture about her likes and dislikes, as well as what she would like to discuss and what she would rather leave alone. Once the small talk gives you a general idea, you can go ahead and discuss your common likes and dislikes.
But what is really freaking you are those moment of silence. The key to avoid or get over these horrible moments are as follows.
Key #1: Compliment her. The fact is most people are shy about meeting new people. But when you think about it, shyness is merely a fear that others won’t like you, or that you may be rejected in some way. It’s natural for us to desire acceptance. So try to make her know that you like her by making a compliment. But find something that you really find attractive about her, about her lifestyle or her personality. She will become more confident and more open to share her believes and her shyness won’t be a problem for a fluid conversation.
Key #2: Asking open questions. How you ask questions is very important in establishing a basis for an effective communication. Effective questions open the door to knowledge and understanding. The art of questioning lies in knowing which questions to ask when. Favorable questions would be “why” and “how” questions. You can use these frequently without being annoying. She will feel that you are interested in what she is telling you and will develop her answers. Therefore, you should think carefully before speaking and taking up subjects that might be repugnant to her.
Key #3: Listen, listen, and listen. Usually when the woman starts talking about her favorite subjects (feelings, family, relationships, friends and her work) many men lose interest or bring the conversation back to themselves. This is one of the biggest mistake men are doing all the time. They also like to exchange jokes and anecdotes and spend a fair amount of time playing one-up and boasting. You need to stop doing that. Allow HER to have HER points of view, while you have yours. Men have felt like they have either had to abandon their own beliefs in order to try to get a woman, OR they had to fight with women about what they believe in. Both approaches lead to failure.
She is not there with you just to hear about your hero “qualities”, but to have a great time!

Posted December 16, 2010 – 5:15 am in: Wedding PhotographyIt’s your wedding…one of the most beautiful days in your life. How else can you make the perfect occasion last? Capture the momentous event with great wedding photographs. Read four guides below to make sure you choose the right wedding photography service for your big day.
Guide #1: Give the most opportunities for the photographer when scheduling activities during the wedding day. When planning the time of the wedding ceremony and of the reception, couples should incorporate the time that the photographer requires to capture all of the couple’s special moments. There should be a gap between the end of the ceremony and beginning of the reception, to allow for more photographs for the bride, groom and wedding entourage, especially if they are in two different locations. The photographers and subjects will have a more relaxed shoot and will enjoy all the parts of the wedding if the events are well spaced out.
Guide #2: Think of important factors when selecting a wedding photographer. The photographer should be able to show more than one complete set of wedding photos. Couples should not accept someone who shows only selected prints of their best photographs from different weddings. Ideally, all photographs from 3 to 4 complete wedding sets that are at least satisfactory should be a criterion of a professional wedding photographer. It is also good to have a photographer that gives a package with unlimited coverage for the whole day. Again, this way, photography will not be rushed.
Guide #3: Try to be aware of photography companies or individuals that contract out jobs to a pool of wedding photographers or even freelancers. Salespersons often pose as actual photographers and try to woo customers. Make sure companies deal openly, and ask them to show 3 to 4 complete weddings from each of the photographers they offer you, so you can choose. Make sure the one chosen is the one that will cover your wedding. Otherwise, it is better to find a photographer that personally shoots weddings. A two-person team is an even better package because two points of view of the wedding can be taken. Some photographers only offer the traditional wedding photography style, or strictly a photojournalistic style. It is best to find a versatile photographer that can do both.
Guide #4: Take note of some important questions as below to ask a prospective wedding photographer.
Q1: Are colored and black and whites included, or would he charge extra for B/W? Dramatic effects can be made with black and white photographs, so ask if this is a premium.
Q2: Are hand and digital coloring or digital color separation included in the package or would he charge extra for these? Better pictures are developed when the photograph colors are separated first, improved, and then printed.
Q3: What kinds of cameras does he use? Does he use medium format equipment and have a back up? Does have a “leaf” shutter or “focal plane”?
Q4: What lenses does he use? Does he use only one, or will he change lenses? Make him show you photo effects that he is able to achieve with different lenses and choose the ones which you like to appear with your photographs.
Q5: Is he willing to customize a package that is within your budget?
Asking intelligent questions will encourage photographers to deal openly with customers. Remember, it’s your special day, and you should make sure that the wedding photography is something that will help you and your loved ones relive those wonderful memories.

Posted December 10, 2010 – 4:13 am in: Making Money With Real EstateThe many ways of making money with real estate include not only the various types of property. Of course you can make money with land, apartment buildings, homes, commercial buildings and more. But with whatever type of real estate, there are different ways you’ll make your profits.
Look at the 8 ways of making profits listed below, and think of how you can use a few of them on your next real estate investment. You can get wonderfully creative making money with real estate.
Way #1: Pay-down on the loan. Equity builds with every payment you make. If you get the lowest interest rate you can, more of each payment will go towards the principal.
Way #2: Cash flow. Buy income property the right way, and you not only have your tenants paying all the costs and paying down the mortgage loan, but you also have positive cash flow. As a rule, just don’t buy properties without cash flow.
Way #3: Value appreciation. Sometimes making money with real estate can be as simple as holding on and waiting. For the most appreciation in value, however, you should buy in an area where demand is growing faster than the supply.
Way #4: Tax depreciation. After all the tax law changes, you still get to declare a loss for depreciation that doesn’t really exist. Saving at tax time, means more after-tax profit. To maximize this, buy property that has its value primarily in the buildings, because you can’t depreciate the value of land.
Way #5: Get instant equity by buying low. Buy below market and you get instant equity that will be converted into a profit when you sell. Offer a reason for the seller to sell low: fast closing, cash, assume some debts or liabilities, etc. Alternately, just make a low offer. A seller may have his own reasons to sell it cheap.
Way #6: Selling high. If you clean it up nice, make it easy to buy, and find the right buyer, you’ll get top dollar. The following four on the list cover ways to create value, so you’ll get more when you sell.
Way #7: Changing the use. Find a higher use for the property, and you can convert it to make it worth more to the next owner. This could mean making condos into apartments, or apartments into condos. Perhaps converting a home into office space will get the biggest return.
Way #8: Sell it in parts. Sometimes in real estate, the parts are worth more than the whole. For example, splitting off an extra lot to sell for $30,000 will rarely decrease the value of a home by that much, so you’ll make more money in the end.

Posted December 5, 2010 – 1:44 am in: Travel For LessThe availability of low-cost flights and last minute internet deals means that cheap holidays are far easier to come by than they used to be, but it can still take a bit of shopping around to get the best discounts.
Five tips for your savvy holiday travel.
Tip #1: Fly from further away. This may sound silly, but by widening your choice of departure airport, you could save a lot of money. The larger airports carry more flights and that allows airlines to keep prices low. By flying from a bigger airport such as JFK in NY, O’Hare in Chicago, LAX in LA, you could save a lot of money on your flights.
Tip #2: Travel out of season. If you’re not bound by school holidays, take the opportunity to travel out of season and fly during the week rather than at weekends. Flights are often cheaper during these times in order to encourage travel, so think about leaving on a Thursday rather than a Friday and see what a difference it could make to the price.
Tip #3: Register for updates. Cheap discount holiday travel companies often operate newsletters or email updates to let you know about special offers and last minute deals. Registering for these communications gives you advance information about discount travel, allowing you to take advantage of offers that suit you.
Tip #4: Find hotel reviews. Cheap holiday hotels aren’t always good. It’s best to get as much information as you can from the travel company and to go online to look for reviews. This is a great way to find out if you’re booking a great little budget hotel or a place that could spoil your holiday.
Tip #5: Book online. You can often get discounts on flights, hotels, car hire and holiday packages if you book online. Make sure that the site you’re booking with has a secure payment system and that you print off your confirmation so that you can call the company with any queries or problems. Use reputable discount holiday travel sites and you could get your holiday for a much cheaper price than on the high street.

Posted December 2, 2010 – 3:57 am in: Money For MomsDoes the idea of starting your own business from home sound appealing? Has finding the right one stumped you? Do you often think that if you could make money at home you would be one very happy person?
You as a mom can work from home by starting a business from scratch or joining a legitimate work at home business opportunity, affiliate program or franchise. Working at home means you can do something you enjoy, sack difficult clients, put difficult bosses behind you, and avoid a lot of the daily stress faced by employees. The home based business industry is expanding rapidly and research suggests that revenue from home-based businesses will increase by up to 17% a year for the next five years.
Let’s think about a few considerations before you start a home based business.
Consideration #1: Keep an open mind. Do not dismiss an opportunity because it is different form things you have done before. Look around at the opportunities available for online and offline businesses, surf the net, visit sites that offer advice. Also remember that you could be involved in more than one business.
Consideration #2: Be practical in your expectations of a home-based business. Enormous income in a very short time is unrealistic, and a legitimate home business will not promise this. However, many offer a steady income stream that can increase gradually. It takes a certain amount of time to build any successful business. By starting and maintaining a legitimate home-based business, you can achieve your dream of being your own boss.
Consideration #3: Do not forget your physical and mental health. When you are working from home to help your business succeed, sometimes long and unusual hours, it is easy to ignore both your physical and mental health. The usual advice applies – proper diet and exercise, and even if you don’t have a family at home, don’t work all the time. Entrepreneurs often report that the one aspect they miss in home working is the contact with colleagues, so be sure to maintain a social life, possibly through a business networking or support group. Try to surround yourself with positive, supportive people, and be sure to explain your business idea fully to your family. They will be a critical part of your support system. Those who love you the most aren’t usually trying to stand in your way – it’s just that starting a home business may be something unknown to them, and like everyone, they tend to be fearful of something they don’t understand.

Posted November 27, 2010 – 7:20 pm in: Learn LanguageLearning a foreign language can be a daunting task. But when we break it down, it’s really a numbers game. How much time are you putting into it and how many words do you know? In most cases, you will require a few hundred hours of study time and overall 2000-3000 words of active vocabulary to be conversational with any hope of one day being actually fluent. Once you learn it to that point, it pretty much becomes self-sustaining, if you maintain it and continue to use it.
This sounds like too difficult a task for someone who casually says “hey I would like to learn Spanish!” but the reality is, you can learn to speak a language at a daily conversation level much more quickly if you apply a few additional techniques to supplement your language method or class. You can be functional with a lot fewer words and you can significantly reduce the number of hours necessary to learn the foundation of the language. Consider 4 techniques below.
Technique #1: Flashcards. Pound for pound the single best and most efficient use of your time when learning a language. Ten seconds of free time becomes a quick quiz – whip card number one out of your pocket “what is the Spanish word for … food? comida? flip the card over … correct!” Two minutes is a major review session. All the words you need to be conversational in just two minutes a day. Don’t say you don’t have time to learn a language. Remember this the next time you are on line at the bank or the grocery store, doctor’s office, waiting at a red light etc.
Technique #2: Read. Once you have some basic understanding of the language, get some reading material. Here’s the important part – Something you are interested in. If you’re into gardening then get a magazine or print out an online article on gardening in your target language. You’ll be learning vocabulary and phrases that really interest you, and that will help you pick it up that much quicker.
Technique #3: Radio. Following the above advice, give yourself more (and free!) opportunities to hear your new language. Radio can expose you to new vocabulary and fresh content daily. Don’t overdo it with your one audio CD. Mix up your audio with other sources, and constantly changing ones like music and internet news broadcasts from other countries. The more sources you have to hear from, the better. Hearing the language is the most important aspect of learning if you intend to speak it.
Technique #4: Daily Contact with people on the internet. Use the power of the internet to hook up with other people around the world who speak the language you are learning. They can help you immeasurably. You can help them with English and they can help you with your target language. There are plenty of free sites and forums to find people who will be happy to work with you.
You may find that you can actually use less time studying as you streamline your learning process. Learn to learn more effectively and remember to keep your eye on the goal whether you put a number on it or not.

Posted November 24, 2010 – 4:24 am in: Repair Your CreditAccording to the research firm Sherbrooke and Associates, 43 percent of American households are “credit constrained.” If you find yourself in that situation, know that you’re not alone.
Having excess debt and bad credit is a source of shame for many people who are credit constrained. They feel there is no way out – particularly now that bankruptcy laws have been changed to make filing for bankruptcy more difficult for people with even average incomes. But, you can dig yourself out of debt and repair your credit. Consider 3 steps below.
Step #1: Let go of your shame. Unless you fraudulently charged items that you had no intention of paying for, you need to let go of all shame related to your bad credit and debt. So long as you had every reason to believe that you’d be able to pay for your debts, you have nothing to feel guilty about. Take responsibility for your actions, but do not let anyone make you feel guilty or they will wield that guilt as a weapon against you.
Step #2: Contact your creditors. Once you’ve let go of your shame and have committed to taking responsibility, it will be much easier to face your creditors. Explain to them that you’re over your head in debt, and while you want to honor your commitments, you would appreciate it if they would work with you to make doing so easier. Most of the time, your creditors will be more receptive than you would imagine – after all, they’re used to people in your position ducking under a rock and ultimately sticking them with the bill.
Step #3: Begin rebuilding your credit. While restructuring your payment terms, by all means, stop abusing credit. You need to work out a budget that will prevent you from finding yourself in this situation again. Once you’re back on your feet, be sure not to repeat the same mistakes you made in the past. Open up a small credit account and pay your bills in full and on time, and in a matter of just a few short years, your credit can be just as good as anyone else’s.
The sooner you start rebuilding after a near credit meltdown, the sooner you’ll be able to experience the security and peace of mind that the other 57 percent of Americans enjoy.

Posted November 13, 2010 – 6:29 pm in: Home Based BusinessIn this day and age, it is almost impossible to maintain a decent standard of living on one paycheck, but in a family where children are involved it is not always feasible for both dad and mom to have a job outside of the home. Daycare expenses, the need for a second car, and too much time away from the children are some common drawbacks. This, however, is the exact situation that a Home Based Business works to its greatest advantage.
Home Based Businesses are great and can be extremely profitable but without the proper knowledge and tools you can waste an incredible amount of time and/or money which defeats the purpose you started out with, namely to make money and have time to do the things you want to do..
There are basically 3 main pillars or principles of a solid home based business.
Pillar #1: It must have minimal start up cost. A home based business that has a high start up cost will take longer to see a profit, and as we said earlier, time is one of the things we are trying to cut down on. Minimal cost will also make the home based business more assessable to a larger amount of families or individuals who are just starting out.
Pillar #2: It must be easy to set up and maintain. The more complicated your home business project, no matter what it is, the more likely you are to give up out of sheer frustration before you see a profit. A business that is easy to set up and maintain will give you confidence and a sense of accomplishment as you complete each simple step in the process. The first two pillars of a solid home based business are necessary for the third to occur.
Pillar #3: It must have a quick return on investment (ROI).You can spend months building a home based business but it there is never any real profit generated in a reasonable amount of time many people may get discouraged and give up. What is a reasonable amount of time? I would plan for a time frame on the order of weeks instead of months. Depending on the type of home based business some people have had a decent ROI within days, and unbelievable as it may sound some businesses that deal with affiliate marketing and sales can see profit as early as 15 minutes from startup!
You may be thinking to yourself “that’s too simple!” Let me say that within these 3 pillars there is plenty of detail to keep anyone busy. Whatever home based business you get involved in make sure that it is propped up by the 3 pillars listed in this article. Do not make the mistake of overcomplicating your efforts or you will see very quickly that you will get bogged down with a lot of needlessly wasted time and effort.

Posted November 12, 2010 – 11:35 pm in: Weight LossAs the saying goes “Quitters never win and winners never quit!” but sometimes it’s hard to keep going when you can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel and you know there’s a long road ahead.
If you’re wavering in your latest weight loss goal, ask yourself these questions before you throw in the towel. If you are able to step back and understand what is going on, it will help you to adapt your approach a little, and then get back on track with renewed enthusiasm.
So ask yourself:
- Why do I want to lose weight? What will achieving my aims give me?
- How will I feel if I quit?
- What is making this so hard?
- What have I been doing (or not doing) to make this more difficult or less successful?
- What do I need to change?
- What strategies could I use to get back on track?
- How can I adapt this to make it work for me?
- What would I do then?
If you want to lose weight, just don’t quit – check whatever you’re doing if you are doing right. Think over if I have right meal plan, if I know any diet program which is enjoyable, and my fat is dropping. Have a new plan. Justdon’t quit and you’ll get there. You can do this! You really can!

Posted November 12, 2010 – 5:34 pm in: Find Your JobExtra Income means an income that you can earn apart from the regular income coming in from employment or normal work. This earning can be used to payoff your outstanding debts or build up a capital account or spend it on luxuries that you could only think about before. Everyone seems to want a second income but no one wants to work a second job, so the extra income is normally seen as a windfall.
Today the internet and the general market have a lot of ideas for generating the windfall.
Network marketing in general market terms has been successful to some extent. Internet offers something similar that says affiliate marketing. The internet also offers a host of other options like game tester, night club and party promoter, and a job on a cruise ship…
